What happens when I upload a file to FileSocial?
When you upload a file, you can include a brief comment or description and a "tweet" (Twitter message) will automatically appear in your Twitter account, like this:
"I've found an interesting PDF report – http://filesocial.com/jXt45u"
Anyone can see, comment on and even download that file through that link. -
Can I track my uploaded files?
Sure! You can see your files whenever you want, even delete them if you've finished with them. Remember that in FileSocial there's no expiry date.

What happens with the comments included with the file?
The comments you send or receive through FileSocial will automatically appear as @reply in Twitter.

Does whatever I upload to FileSocial automatically appear in Twitter?
By defaut, it appears in Twitter as a message. Don't worry! If you don't want it published, you can modify that option during the process of uploading the file.

What types of files can be uploaded?
Images, compressed files, videos, music, etc. In other words, file extensions like pdf, jpg, doc, ppt, zip, rar, mov, avi and mp3, amongst many others. There’s no excuse for any format!

Which formats may be viewed and played online?
For documents, doc and pdf. For audio, mp3. For video, flv and mp4. We’re working towards making more formats viewable and playable online, without needing to download files.

Is it necessary to have a Twitter account to use FileSocial?
Yes. FileSocial is automatically linked to your Twitter account. There is no other way to register or upload files. If you don't have a Twitter account, you can get one here. It's free!

Can I upload a file without visiting the website?
Natch! We've invented a little application or "desktop uploader" with which you can transfer the file you like by just drag-dropping it on the icon.

Can I use FileSocial with my iPhone?
Of course! You only need to download the Tweet Media application created by the guys at Chunky Chicken Apps. Get it on iTunes!
